Ceduna : the Farm/ la ferme

Hello les amis,

comme vous le savez probablement, Val et Don (maman et papa wombats) ont pour projet de migrer tous leurs animaux et eux meme vers une ferme qu'ils ont achetée il y a peu. Avec un terrain de 4000 ou je dis bien 4000 ares, il y a de la place pour faire des choses dont notamment un camping dans le bush sur la partie boisée (300 ares).
Pour l'instant on collecte du materiel donné par les gens (palissade, cage, grillage, poteau etc...) Dernierement on a recuperer le cadre d'une cage qui servira de cache a poule. Dite Chook's House  en slang australien (au lieu de Chicken House en anglais pure)

Hi buddies,

as you likely know, Val and Don (Mum and Dad's Wombat) planed to move all their animals to a farm they bought recently. With a land of 4000 ares (yes 4000 ares) there is plenty of place to realize their dreams, as for instance a camping in the bush (300ares of native vegetation).
Presently we are occupied to collect the materials given by friends or around (tin, wire, post etc...). Those last days, we were busy to fix a "Chook's house (Australian slang instead of Chicken's house).

My First official tour at Wombat Fauna and Rescue

Hello Everyone

So we are alone at the wombat place. Our host are gone for few days so we are ruling !
I had to do my first tour for tourists and Julian had to go to the farm with a friend of the family starting building enclosures for wombats (all material had been donated to us)

The tour : it starts usually at 10.30 so I had one couple who were just amazed by animal and our work I did the whole educational speech OUUUUF with the video
Then at 11.30 an other couple French and Finish 9they are also going to help us with animals) so again the tour and at 12.00 a lovely Taiwan couple super funny they all JUST LOOOOOVED our babies

Altogether I had 20$ of donation it s really good THANK YOU!
It not that easy even if now I know most of things here etc. talking a lot and trying to give right info in the right time = lots of TALK but it's fun but also this way I can give people the right message about wombats and what we are doing for them.

Bonjour à tous


Voilà nous sommes tout seule dans la maison de nos hôtes, ils s'absentent pendant quelques jours et donc c'est nous qui gèrons
Moi même je dois faire le tour (mon premier) pour les touristes et Julian doit aller à la ferme avec l'amis de la famille afin de commencer l'enclos pour les wombats  (tout le matériel nous étant donné gratuitement)


Le tour : on commence vers 10.30 et donc j'ai eu un couple.Jäi fait tout notre speach éducatif> Ils ont été époustouflé par les animaux et le travail qu'on fait
Ensuite 11.30 un autre couple un francais et une finoise (ils vont d'ailleur nous aider avec les annimaux) super cool, ils sont tombé amoureux de nos bébés
et enfin á 12.00 un adorable couple des Taiwanais super marrant et gentills eux aussi ont adores tous les animaux


En tout, nous nous avons eu 20$ de collectés ce qui pas mal du tout ! MERCI MERCI
Ce n'est pas très evident de faire le guide car il y a beaucoup d'info à donner à des moment prècis  donc BCP de PARLER. Mais c'est une superbe occasion pour passer le BON message aux gens sur les Wombats et ce qu'on fait pour eux


Dans le prochain poste je vous parlerais de la différence entre les wombats à nez poilus du sud et du nord mais aussi des wombats communs

Staying at the Farm for LONGEEEEEEEEEER yes yes yes !!!

Hi guys

We decide to stay in Ceduna at the Wombat Fauna & Rescue so we can help Val and Don here and at the same time extend our Working Holiday visa

We are doing very well and will be alone at the farme for 3 days
What we are doing here :
The TOUR => explain the Wombat rescue project and doing an educational talk about Southern hairy noise and nothern hairy nois Wombats. It's free we just asking donation for animal food
FEEDING FEEDING FEEDING 5 times a day from 8 am till 12 PM babies are hungry every body is hungry
CLEANING WASHING CLEANING WASIHING lots of babies blankets
Playing with Animal hehe
and of course
RESCUING poor animals, most of them have tragic stories !!!!

The Wombat Fauna and Rescue is a place where animal who are or were suffuring, with tragics backgrounds find home and lots of LOVE from Valerie Salmon and her Husban Don and all people who help here

Nous décidons de rester à la ferme de Wombat Fauna and Rescue un peu plus, de cette façon nous aidons Val et Don mais égallement nous pourrons prolonger Notre VISA Working Holiday Visa

on the Rescue !

Nous nous portons très bien et nous serons seul à la ferme pendant trois jours prochainement
Qu'est qu'on fait ici:
Le Tour : on explique le projet Wombat Rescue et on fait un speach éducatif sur les les Wombats à nez poilus du sud et du nord. Le tour est gratuit on demande juste un petit don pour la nourriture des animaux
NOURRIR NOURRIR et NOURRIR : tout le monde a fin ici on nourris les bébés 5 fois par jours e 8h à minuit
Nettoyer Lessiver : beaucoup de couches de bébés, des couvertures etc
Jouer avec les animaux

SAUVER : tous les animaux, la plupart ont une histoire assez tragique

Anara volunteering in Wombat fauna rescue

I just love these animals and feel really concerned by their case
I am also very happy to be here at the farm in Ceduna in Wombat Fauna rescue where I learne so much about wombats of course but also about other native animals like kangoos, ... my favourite for the moment is the Little Kangaroos boy named Freddo and he loves me as well

I feel in a real connection with nature and with Australie in here.
The people who host us Val and Don are just great with us and we can learn about australia trough them. Thanks to Val australian cuisine has no secrets for us anymor

How beautifull is to see so many kidness and love from people far from our hom

J'adore vraiment ces animaux les WOMBATS et je suis très concernée par leur cas
Je me sens vraiment très epanouie et heureuse ici à la ferme de Ceduna "Wombat Fauna Rescue" où l'on apprend tellemnt non seulement sur les wombats mais aussi sur les animaux natifs d'australie.
Mon petit préféré en ce moment est le petit kanfoo Freddo et il m'aime aussi

Ici je suis vraiment en conection avec la nature et l'Australie
Les gens qui nous accueillent (Val et Don) sont vraiment géniaux et nous apprenons l'australie au travers eux
Grace Val la cuisine Australienne n'a plus de secret pour nous

C'est tellement merveilleux de voir tant de gentilless et d'amour de la part des gens d'ici, loin de chez nous

Wombat and Fauna Rescue in Ceduna / Volontaires chez les sauveurs de Wombat a Ceduna

Hello les amis,

nous avons pris un peu plus de retard par rapport a nos previsions. L'hiver approche, il fait plus frais voir froid la nuit et nous sommes toujours a Ceduna.(800km au nord d'Adelaide et 1200km a l'Est de Perth)

Mais c'est pour la bonne cause me direz vous.

Nous restons plus longtemps que prevu car nous aidons, en tant que volontaires Madame Wombat. Par ici ils sont appelés Wombat a nez poilus et lorsqu'ils se font ecraser, ils y a bien souvent un bebe ds la poche de la mere.

On passe donc notre journee a jouer a papa maman avec des wombats mais aussi kangarous. Il y a egalement des lezards a langue bleu, un possum, un wombat commun (comme ceux de Tasmanie) et un faucon 'Duck Falcon. Ils ont un beau projet de ferme-camping et reintroduction de wombat et parc animalier sauvage.

Hello my friends,

we are a bit more late according to our travelling plans. Winter is coming, it's getting fresh and cold during the night. And we are still in Ceduna. (800km north of Adelaide and 1200 km far of Perth)

But it's for good reason.

We are actually staying as volunteers with Lady Wombat who saves the hairy nose wombats from the dead or car injured mothers.

Hence we spend all our day by playing at dad and mum by feeding wombats and others animals like kangaroos, blue tongue lezards, possum, commun wombat and even a Duck Falcon. As they got a big project of building aside a camping-farm-wildlife park there is a lot to do !
