Back From Kangaroo Island

Hello Hello
That was a nice week with wild life we had met Tammar wallabies, KI Kangaroos, eagles and 7 echidnas, etc
If I could criticise it, to touristy and way to expensif ferry and fuel !!!

Ce samedi nous allons pour une semaine sur l Ile des Kangourous donc pas internet pendant une semaine
mais la natures sauvage s offre a nous tels des phoques, les koalas, les kangourous et des miriades d oiseaux
J ai trop hate d y etre
On prend le Ferry sur Cape Jevis on a reussi a avoir les prix pas trop cher yeah

This saturday we are going to Kangaroos Island for one week so no internet for one week but the wild nature just for us, like seals, koalas and thousand of birds
I ;m looking forward to be there
we booked a ferry, there was some special prices so not to expencies yeah

Grampians National Park

Les Grampians sont des massifs rocheux a 300 km au nord de la Great Ocean Road. De couleur noire et rouges (ocres), nous n'avons malheureusement pas pu le parcourir en entier a cause des inondations survenues en janvier qui ont littéralement balayées et cisaillé la route principale. Nous avons tout de meme pu nous rendre au nord du parc a Hall Gaps et faire qq randonnées.

Il existe aussi dans ce parc des sites aborigenes ou l'on peut voir qq peintures. 

The Grampians are mountains rocks in 300 km in the north of the Great Ocean Road. Black and red (from the ocre). Unlikely we were not able to see all the site because of the floods which occured in januray and which have destroyed the main road. However, we spent 2 days in Hall Gaps and around in the north where we did several hike. We have also seen some arboriginal shelters and paints.

Amazing Great Ocean Road

La Great Ocean Road est une zone touristique cotière qui se voudrait etre un symbole internationala a l'étranger. Elle pourrait se le permettre. On peut le traverser par une unique route.  D'un coté de celle-ci, l'ocean sud vient ecraser ses grandes vagues sur les rochers et criques de sables fins pour le plus grand  plaisir des surfeurs, de l'autre la montagne verdoyante vient tremper ses pieds directement dans l'eau.  Les paysages sont splendides. Au milieu se trouvent les 12 apotres, rocks arrachées aux falaises de quartz et de gre par les eaux et vents violents.

C'est également un endroit de prédilection des koalas et autres animaux sauvages.
Nous avons traversé de Torquay (capitale du surf australien) jusque Warrnambool avant de remonter vers les Grampians ( a suivre dans un prochain post). Lors de notre parcours nous avons eu la chance de rencontrer un couple d'allemand (André et Myriam) avec qui nous avons fait un bout de chemin ensemble.

The Great Ocean Road is a touristic place which could be (and would be) one of the international australian symbol. It could afford it. One road cross this area. One the first side the ocean with its huge waves and rocky or sandy creeks. One the other side, the green and woody (gums) moutains go directly down to the ocean. The landscape are amazing and wonderful.On the middle of the park, the 12 apolstres shows how the wind and the water car erode the cliffs and how the nature can be surprinsing.
This area is also a protective place and many koalas can be seen on the top of the tree.
We crossed from Torquay the australian surf capital til to Warrnambool before going up to the Grampians National park (see next post).
We were lucky to meet a nice german couple with who we shared our trip and experiences !
