After more a month working in Humpty Doo in the farway north of Australia (but 40kms south of Darwin), it was time for us to leave this "hole" and its "locals"descendants of Crocodile Dundee, to join once again Melbourne. The plan is to cross from the top north to the south trough the famous desert with our very old van....
On our way, we crossed fews towns where it is not recommanded to stop. Even during one stop for a lunch, a police patrol came and suggested us to move. The reason was the aborigens who are going in the bush next door (few meters far) to sniff glue, drink and take drugs and then look for problem... However when we see the kids playing, everything looks insouciant...
Alice Spring (AS) fut une agreable surprise.
Alice Spring was a great surprise. We only stop for a cofee time, lunch in the old telegraph station and shopping.
While an eveninng in a roadhouse in the south of AS (yes one more! road is very long) we went next door to the Camel farm! An half dingo - half red deg was also there as a family member.
Nous venons de faire plus de 1400kms... et allons quitter a present l'axe nord sud pour un détour de 250 km (aller) vers Uluru;
We just done more than 14000kms... and went off the north-south track for a detour of 250km (one way) to Uluru !!!
